Disney World
There isn’t more to be said about Disney than has already been said. When my kids were growing up, we took a vacation every February for Spring Break. We alternated between Disney World and Skiing. As for me, Disney was always my vacation of choice, but its always good to mix it up every now and then. At this point, my children are grown and they have kids of their own. My husband and I took the entire family in 2010 to Disney for a family vacation. It was great seeing my grandchildren at Disney World for the first time and seeing my kids with the same excitement that I had for them when they were young.

 Halloween Decorations
This was the first time we went to the park and it was decorated for any holiday. We went in October and not only was the park decorated, but they had a Halloween party at night with a special parade. The kids were able to go all over the Magic Kingdom for trick-or-treating. They dressed up in costumes and had a little more Disney fun. This was an additional ticket that you had to buy because the Halloween Party was after the park closed. All the attractions were open and since there were not as many people there as there were in the daytime, everyone was able to go on their favorite ride as many times as they liked.

The park has changed throughout the years, but there are still some staples that you have to see when you get there. The Magic Kingdom has some of the same rides and attractions that have been there for years, and they always seem to update it with the newest Disney movie characters. We had dinner in the castle with all the princesses. It took us years to get this reservation, and it was well worth it. Epcot has a little bit of everything. Attractions, restaurants and of course the world showcase. At night, the Magic Kingdom has a spectacular fireworks show and Epcot has Illuminations, both shouldn’t be missed.

There is so much to do and see at Disney World. You have the parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Disney Hollywood Studios. Also the water parks Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. At night, there is Downtown Disney with restaurants, shops and plenty of night life. There are also special events like the Food and Wine Festival and the International Flower and Garden Show.
